Favorite Quotes:
From the Live and Learn and Pass It On (Volume III) tear
off calendar...
"I've learned that one gauge of success is not whether you have a
tough problem, but whether it's the same problem you had last year." -
Age 46
(I am using this as motivation for my weight loss efforts.)
and
"I've learned that nothing is more comforting that the cool ocean
waves rushing in between my bare toes." - Age 18 (I know this for a
fact!!!)
Say One Nice Thing About The Person Who Sent This To You (for the Class
of '68 and friends, say something nice about the person whose name is
to
the left of yours in the CC, Pat H, you get Smitty. Smitty, you get
stuck with me. If you don't feel you know enough about the person, skip
this one): It's time for me to go get crabs...but since Pat Hilwig was
the name next to me on the list when this was going around, I'll be glad
to let the crabs run a little late. Pat was a great friend in high
school, a better friend just out of high school, always pleasant and
cheerful, upbeat and a lover of fun (I wrote fun lover first but didn't
want any misinterpretations here!!!). I admire him even more now in his
less than perfect health because he still is upbeat and hopeful and full
of Faith. At the 15 year reunion, it was great to see him again and meet
his wife, Pam. I enjoy it when I occasionally call him (since we had
our 30 year class reunion)...feels like not two days have passed between
conversations. He's just comfortable.
Nothing better than comfortable, is there?
