A cobblestone street in Flensburg. Our host Wulf warned, "Don't look too closely into the windows."
(Yes, prostitution is legal in Germany.)
"The Most Beautiful Altar in Germany"
Each scene of this altar in the Schleswig Cathedral was carved from a solid oak block between 1514 and 1521. The images depict the Stations of the Cross and other Biblical scenes. Each little piece can be removed. There are hinges inside the two outer blocks that allows the altar to be completely closed. This is one you could sit and stare at for hours.
The Castle of Glucksburg.
This castle was in Danish possession for most of its history since 1587. Much of the artwork is of Danish royalty. On one floor we had to wear large slippers over our shoes to protect the floor. The castle is still used for special occasions. Weddings are still held in the chapel on the first floor.
Tonder is the oldest town in Denmark with burrough status. They take special pride in the doors, obviously.
(Sorry it's tilted, but when AI tried to rotate it the lines on the doors looked crooked.)
