Hi Elsie and everyone else,

I know I have been quiet for a while, I am working more now and time is

scarce. I'm also building a fence around the yard so my free time is work.

Besides everyone is chattering so much it takes time to keep up with all the

email, but I love it! Thanks to all who signed my reunion book and Terry

thanks so much for all your hard work getting everything to me. When I come

home for Christmas I'll be looking for Ya!

So, on to my life story! Bob this is another chapter for your book. After St.

A's I attended the large college in LaPlata MD, Charles County Community

College for two years. I was close to being drafted so I tried to enlist in

the Air Force but was unable to for medical reason. My oldest brother Jim (64

St. A's grad) was in the Air Force at the time. He never got out of the

states. We later found out it was because of my dad's work at Naval Research

Lab, high security. So, I went to work at a car dealership in Alexandria Va.

in Sept. 1970. I always loved messing with cars any way. My brother Joe (65

St. A's grad) went to work at Southern Md. Elect. Coop. in 1966 and is still

working there. He is the head of the meter division in Hughesville Md. plus

owns his own electrical contracting company.

I have spent the last 28 years working in the automotive industry. I worked

my way up from a parts delivery driver to service director. My brother Jim

followed the same course that I did. I got married in 1974 but that only

lasted 6 months. Then I went on the serious bachelor thing. I bought myself

a Corvette and started to play real hard for the next 5 years. In that period

I met my wife Pam, and I was hard on her too. Finally, she tied me down in

1980. My son Patrick was born in 1981 and my daughter Kristin in 1984. They

have been the love of my life. Pam has been my soul mate for life.

My brother Jim finally broke away from the car dealership chain and bought a

BG Products distributorship in Pensacola Fl. in 1991. Wow! what a move. Five

years later he rescued me from dealership hell and I moved to Jacksonville Fl.

to handle that territory for him. Thanks to Jim, it's been like heaven since

I been down here. No PRESSURE! In 1997 I moved to Pensacola to take over that

territory and I love it even better. It's a small town with beautiful beaches.

Then the big heavy hit me. I fell rollerblading and hurt my hip in Jan 1998.

For several months I was in a lot of pain in my back and the doctors thought

it was just a disc problem. In July after a MRI, they found some cancer in my

bone marrow. WOW! Not me. After tons of test it was found in my Prostate. I

have gone through some radiation treatment and am currently on a hormone

treatment. I feeling 85% better now and have just started working again. The

hardest thing is when everybody finds out they seem to feel so sorry for me,

which is only natural, but I would just like to be treated normally.

Well, I know I getting long winded now and I have left out a few details here

and there but that's basically what I have been doing for the last 30 years.

Next!
